The elaboration for my graduation thesis is started by sitting among the green meadows, breathing good air, observing the calm lakes, noting the slow passing of the seasons in Switzerland.
2015 has been a year spent in a small village called La Neuveville, at the wonderful architecture and design studio Atelier Oi. I had the opportunity to focus on different aspects of life and on the perception that we have about time, I have been very lucky to read and study precious and rare books collected in their magical library.
I felt in love with the Japanese Aesthetic philosophy and the concept of Wabi Sabi, which then became my topic of discussion of the thesis.
It was an experimental thesis with a new concept, a partially abstract project which gave me a great satisfaction. Although this project was created inside a small garage in Udine, which was my cold laboratory for four long and dark winter months, magical things were born in there. The most important thing in the creative process, whatever you are planning, is to believe in your project.
If you believe in what you do, everything magically acquires a value, if what you plan follows a pure and sensitive process, based on values ​​you believe in, then the project will have an even more important sense. I owe this type of “attitude to the project” to the Atelier Oi studio, made up of wonderful people, whom I will always be thankful for the highly educational experience granted to me.
