One of the most important things when I start thinking about a logo for a new costumer is to know as much as possible in detail both what her/his business is about and the owner’s approach to the business.
Faraja is a logo designed for a yoga & critical alignment studio.
When I met the people who gravitated around this new project, it struck me that they didn’t want to sell the business for something it wasn’t, but to tell it and promote it for what it is. I liked this immediately. Honesty is one of the most beautiful qualities, especially in business!
If I speak about honesty, I also speak about sensations and I think about free flows of thought, about feeling free in giving a personal interpretation. Faraja’s logo follows the same concept; and what is the answer in graphics to translate the idea of honesty, flows of thought and freedom in the interpretation? Symbology.
What is fascinating about symbology is that the figures shown must not be a photographic portrait of reality, but the meaning is left to a free interpretation, although it must be able to convey the reality and essence of the subject treated.
What do you see in this logo? The sun above a mountain? A peaceful landscape? A man meditating “down to earth”?
This is the good thing: feel free to interpretate.
